OUR GOAL

To improve skin health and hygiene

SCABIES PROGRAM

Objectives:

1   Reduce scabies
2   Reduce infected skins sores
3   Improve hand-washing
4   Work with environmental health to improve hygiene and health hardware use

STRATEGIES:

1   School Scabies program
2   Community Scabies and Clean-up Program
3   Hygiene program in Schools

This program will be offered to all communities in the Fitzroy Valley. Initial sites for Community Clean-Up programs will be MindiRardi and Kurnangki communities.

POOL PROGRAM

Objectives:

1 Complete a Scoping and Design plan by October 2006
2 Obtain commitment of funding for Aquatic Facility for Fitzroy Valley

STRATEGIES:

1   Form Fitzroy Valley Futures Forum Swimming Pool Committee
2   Raise money for Scoping Study and Design Plan
3   Arrange completion of Scoping Study and Design Plan

This program is town based, but is for the benefit of all communities.
