OUR GOAL

To Improve the Health of Women and Children in the Fitzroy Valley

Objectives:

1   Produce a culturally appropriate parenting program for Fitzroy Valley
2   Produce a culturally appropriate preconception/antenatal program for Fitzroy Valley
3   To produce culturally appropriate resources through community input
4   To mentor local people to run the programs

Strategies:

1   Choose 1-2 communities in which to trial the programs
2   Plan the programs
3   Consult with the chosen communities about program content
4   Implement both programs in at least one community by July 2006
5   Evaluate programs and engage other communities to continue implementation
     of the programs after the trial
